Feature of the Month - Online Deposits
It’s time again for another feature of the month! This is one of our newer features that will be coming very, very soon. As the salon world further evolves, it’s only right that we follow suit and introduce online deposit payments. Imagine a salon where customer no shows weren’t a thing, well that could be you! This week’s blog is going to talk through how our new feature will work as well as the many benefits that this can offer your salon.
I’ll first run through how the online deposit will work when connected to your Salon Tracker. So, for any of our customers that already use deposits within Salon Tracker, it is just going to work the exact same. If there’s only particular services that you want to take a deposit online, then this can also be set up, for example if you want it to be on treatments that are of a higher valuer. Once this is all set up in the settings, then it will just be a case of linking up your PayPal account to Salon Tracker.
Once all the behind the scenes stuff is set up, it’s good to go! When the customer goes to make a booking, it will now show any deposit value in the bottom right hand corner. The customer will then be directed to PayPal and asked to enter their details in order to make the deposit payment. When the booking then comes through to your Salon Tracker software, it will clearly show on the booking that the deposit has been paid, and will take this amount off when the appointment is confirmed.
Introducing online deposits will make a huge difference:
Reduced No Shows
There’s nothing worse than a customer booking and appointment and then just not showing up, especially when you have a long list of other customers waiting for an appointment. Even if it is just a small deposit the customer has to pay when booking an appointment through your online booking, it’s more than likely going to make a huge impact as to whether they turn up or not.
You could be currently losing out on thousands of £ per year, from no shows alone! With our new feature, the number of no shows will be reducing for bookings, it also means that you will have a higher income as more of your clients will be coming into the salon.
With the payments being taken through a well-known provider such as PayPal, it gives you the peace of mind that everything will be secure. The payment will go straight from the customers account to yours, so Salon Tracker don’t take any sort of fees from you for using the online payments feature.
Salon Tracker has a report feature already which will show you a list of any no show bookings, so this will help you track if the number of no shows you have across the week or month. With the new online deposits feature, this report will also help you to track the difference it what it was compared to what it is once you start taking deposits.
This feature should be ready before the end of the year, so if you would like a demo of how this works or want any further information on it then don’t hesitate to contact us on 0113 350 8230 or alternatively you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
